Pre-K Class

Monday through Friday,  9:30-12 p.m.

During the preschool years, children grow mentally, physically, and emotionally in immeasurable amounts. At Small Wonders we believe it is important that we not only prepare our students for Kindergarten academically, we make sure every child realizes how special they are while we provide the tools and encouragement to develop confidence and a lifelong love of learning.

We know that every child is unique and everyone learns differently. That is why we place priority on interdisciplinary learning within an environment that is nurturing and positive. By creating a structured, organized, engaging, and positive teaching environment we will provide a place where your child feels safe and free to grow and connect with the world around them–all while having a ton of fun!

Students will be exposed to a variety of teaching methods every day. Using different techniques helps to truly immerse them in the concepts being taught so that their experience will be well-rounded and concepts will be more concrete. Academic concepts such as Letter Recognition, Reading Readiness, Handwriting, Language Arts, and Math Readiness will be interwoven with weekly content themes that introduce students to the Seasons, Nature, Science, Art, Music, and Global Studies.

Our PreK includes a weekly class with Go Kids, a local program that teaches the basics of sports and helps children be motivated to be physically active. For additional information, please visit their website at http://www.123gokids.com.

Children must turn 4 years old by December 1st of the school year they plan to attend to be eligible for the program.
